These were our family pictures we had taken in October. I thought they turned out so cute. The picture of Kendra was taken when she was one but I thought I should post it.
It is now 2010 and I can't believe 2009 has already come and gone. As you can see I'm not keeping up with my blog the way I should. I have had such a busy year.
I have been teaching Preschool this year. I absolutely love it!! I have the cutest kids.
In my morning preschool I have six little boys and three girls they are all so cute! I love teaching them and playing with them. They have such great imaginations.
This year so far Shaylee is in the 2nd grade and her teacher is Mrs. Dillworth. She is doing really good in School. She is learning to read and do math really well. She is so athletic and loves her gymnastics, where she can almost do a backhand spring. She takes classes every Monday night. On Tuesday she is in Tavaci and is learning how to sing with actions. She had a concert in December and it was really cute. In her spare time she loves to have her best friend Cassidy Perry over to play or go to her house. She wanted a DSI for Christmas and that is what Santa ended up bringing. She just attended her baptism preview last night and will be getting baptized in July. She is so excited about that. I can't believe she is almost 8 years old. She was just my baby not to long ago. How the time fly's by.
Taylor turned 5 in September and has been my big helper in both preschool classes. She is so smart and can already write all of her ABC's and numbers. She can write her first and last name and is working on sight words. She is all ready for kindergarten, but I will miss her so much next year. She is very strong willed and will not give up until she gets what she wants. She has been taking her ballet class again this year from miss Tania and was recently in the Nut Cracker. She was so cute and did so well. She told me that next year she wants to do gymnastics, so I guess well just wait and see. I hate her to quite ballet, because she is such a good dancer. She asked for a DSI for Christmas as well and Santa didn't disappoint!! This year in Preschool I had Santa come and visit the kids for the Christmas Party which I asked Russ Baum to help in the morning Class and my husband Mat to help in the Afternoon class. Well Taylor knew that her dad was Santa Clause and kept trying to pull his beard off. Mat said," don't pull on my beard or the bugs will come out and bite you, they live in my beard and eat all the crumbs up from all the cookies i eat." Any way it was really funny. At the end of the day Mat convinced her he was at work all day and it couldn't of been him and she believed him..
Kendra is growing so big. She is talking really good. She did learn a bad word from her sisters just recently which is but face. And she knows that is a bad word, but I have to hide my face because it is so funny. She says mom I said that word!! Anyway she has been going to Susan Rust house every morning that I have Preschool. I miss her, but she is kind of mean to the preschoolers. She try's to push them down and they are a lot bigger then she is. Maybe next year will be better for her. She is such a joy in our family she makes us all smile. She is such a happy little girl. She tries to dance and can sing all the words of Twinkle, Twinkle little star and it is just so cute. Any way she had a good Christmas she got a bike that hooks on the TV and she can ride and baby.
We took Shaylee and Taylor to Disneyland just two weeks ago. We went with some friends, and had such a fun time. We left Kendra with my mom and dad and they loved every minute of it. When we were at Disney Land we had lunch with the princess's one day and that was worth it. I had bought the girls and autograph book to get signatures of all the characters and they thought that was one of the neatest things. They almost were able to get their whole book signed. Their favorite rides were Splash Mt. and Scream in, The Haunted Hotel, We went to the Aladdin Play and that was so cute. We were able to ride almost every ride because we were there three days. The weather was so nice and when we got home it was about 10 degrees, Oh I wish we could have stayed. I was missing Kendra to bad though. On our way home we were hit on the free way by a guy who had fallen asleep at the wheel. We were all OK, but our car had to get fixed.

Catching up!
It has been so long since I have updated my last blog.
We finished our basement and then it was the Holidays and now I just don't have any excuse.
We have been so busy these last couple of weeks trying to get our Garaged cleaned out for the new garage door which was installed last week. I have decided to teach preschool next year and so we have really been trying to get things cleaned up out side and looking nice. I am really excited about teaching I already have six signed up for my younger class and hope to have my older class get full as well. I haven't even advertised yet it has just been by word of mouth.

Taylor has been taking dance all year from powerhouse Dance. She is in Ballet and loves it. Her teacher is Miss Tanja and she is going to be in a cinderella play coming up in a few weeks. Each week at dance class the teacher picks one dancer to take home the trophy and then they have to return it for the next week. Well Taylor has received the trophy two times. She is doing really good in dance.
She has also been in our moms preschool class and has alot of fun doing that. She loves me to hold her and read to her. She has always been so cuddly since she was a baby.
Kendra is growing up so big. She has started to really talk lately and she tries to say Taylor and Shaylee but can't quite say it very well. She says milk, night night, no, go, by you, shoe, car, mom, dad and a few other words that she jibbers. She is 1 1/2 and I'm really sad because she is really growing up to fast. I feel like time just flies by and you need to embrace every day and let your kids know how much you love them and take time to play with them. I feel like I get so busy sometimes doing my everyday things that I forget that their are these little girls waiting for me to teach them. I love them so much. I am so excited to do this preschool because then I will be able to really teach them and spend quality time with them and my class.

Shaylee has been doing really good in Gymnastics and has taken swim lessons this year as well. She is almost able to swim a hole lap in the pool. Her teacher says that she is a really good swimmer and we decided to take swimming lessons again starting tomorrow. She has really done well with her reading. I can tell as long as you really take the time to sit down and have her read to you that she gets better. Shaylee is so social every friday she thinks she needs a friend to come over. Most of the time she ends up with a friend whether or not they come here or to their house. Shaylee will be starting her first soccer in a couple of weeks. Her dad is her coach and I think they will have alot of fun. I'm excited to watch their team.

Past Halloween Pictures

I thought they would be fun to post.
This week has been pretty busy. I have been canning all week.
I started canning apple pie filling, tomatoes, and apricot jam. I still have pears and grape juice that I need to can next week. I never really canned before I moved to Vernal, but we have apple trees, apricot, pear and a grape vine growing in our yard.

Fall
School has started and Shaylee started the first grade.
I was so sad when I dropped her off to school, but she was so excited.
She loves school and her teacher. Taylor asked me after we dropped Shaylee off "when do we pick Shaylee back up? I said in about 7 hours."
So when we got home from dropping Shaylee off Taylor said, "is it time to go get her now?"
I said, "no we just dropped her off!" It was so funny!
She couldn't understand that she had to wait all day.
She now has been riding her bike everyday with Kassidy to school. It was raining on Thursday and she still wanted to ride her bike. I am really proud of her , she is really starting to learn how to read. We have to read with her every night for twenty minutes.
Taylor was bored the first day of School, but she is adjusting well. She started preschool last Tuesday and that really helped. I along with two other moms are teaching preschool together. We each take a week and teach a letter. We had allot of fun this week and the kids really enjoyed it.

Jackson Hole Trip
We were excited to go on a vacation this year. Grandma Jane was able to go with us on our trip, it was alot of fun. We were able to Take a ferry across Jenny Lake and hike up to Hidden Falls Water Fall it was beautiful. It was such a beautiful day and the girls did awesome on the hike.
We went on a fun horse and Wagon ride up into Cache creek . Shaylee was able to help guide the horses in our wagon. Indians rode out of the trees and played like they were attacking our wagons, but the cowboys were able to run them off. The girls thought that was really neat!
We also were able to see a Moose and her Calf and get her picture up close .
We were able to go to Yellowstone National Park and see Old Faithful. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to drive up there and then Taylor threw a fit so Mat took her to the Car and she fell asleep so neither of them were able to see Old Faithful go off. But Shaylee thought it was really neat.
But My mom asked them what there favorite part of the whole trip was and they said swimming in the Hotel Swimming pool was there favorite.
Mat and I took Shaylee and Taylor to a play at the Playhouse Theatre in Jackson called the Ballet of Cat Bellou. I was really impressed with them and how they really watched and sat still.
We had a lot of fun. Mat said that are vacation next year will be right here in Vernal. We'll take the kids down and let them swim in Vernal's Hotel and stay a day or two.
